What's new
Every Stu.Do update, newest first.
Version 0.2.8
Released September 25, 2026
- Photos failed to send in group chats. They send now.
- Saving a chat photo to your library failed. It saves now.
- Photos in chat ran past the edge of their bubble. They fit now.
- Messages that should pop up on the sign-in screens, in forms and while typing were hidden. They show now.
- In a group chat opened from a task, the keyboard covered the message box and the Block user prompt did not appear. Both work now.
- Report and Block showed on your own chat messages. They no longer do.
- Making a task a group assignment did not update the task until the next sync. It updates right away now, and Group settings opens.
- Today said you were all caught up while tasks were overdue. It now shows how many are overdue.
- Adding a task while viewing a course now picks that course.
- The sign-up Terms checkbox was invisible until tapped. It shows now.
- Apple and Google sign-in showed technical error text, and closing Google sign-in showed an error. Both are fixed.
- Contact support now works on devices without a mail app.
- Long-pressing a photo or file in a chat opened it instead of showing its actions. It shows the actions now.
- PDFs in chat showed only an icon. They now show the file name and size.
- The photo viewer's back button was hidden. It shows now, and you can swipe a photo down to close it.
- Smaller text and layout fixes in the schedule, syllabus import, GPA tracker and settings.

0.2.7
September 25, 2026
- Course grades and GPA were too low until every grading category had a grade. They now count only the categories you've graded.
0.2.6
September 24, 2026
- Swiping down did not close the course picker, the due date picker or other bottom sheets. It does now.
- The course list and calendar inside those pickers were a different colour from the sheet. They now match.
- The course picker, the due date picker and the side menu animated slowly. They are smooth now.
0.2.5
September 22, 2026
- New tasks and courses now belong to the semester you create them in.
- Saving a task no longer overwrites the dates, courses or categories you set on its subtasks.
- Long subtask lists now show three subtasks and a Show more row.
- You can now search when linking a task to a parent task.
- Opening a task from a notification no longer shows an empty form.
- A task deleted on another device now closes its open editor instead of saving over it.
- Opening the GPA page from a link no longer stays on the loading screen.
- The app no longer stays on the splash screen if its fonts fail to load.
- Turning notifications off now also cancels the reminders that were already scheduled.
0.2.4
September 22, 2026
- Signing out no longer hides your data. You keep working offline and your changes sync when you sign back in.
- Coming back to the app after you reconnect now syncs right away.
- The daily reminder time picker no longer saves and closes on the first scroll.
- Completing a task now animates the strike-through before the task moves to Completed.
- Press and hold a completed task to change Done late to Done on time, or back.
- The semester widget no longer stays at 100% after a semester ends.
- You can now edit and delete your own messages in a group chat.
- Checking a task from the home screen widget no longer flickers back to unchecked.
- Pressing Return on the password field now signs you in.
- Group members who are not the owner now see Leave group instead of a Delete that did nothing.
- The date picker when importing a syllabus no longer hides behind the Import All button.
- Adding a class time when importing a syllabus no longer skips ahead as you scroll the time.
- The last section of the syllabus review screen no longer sits under the Import All button.
- You can now share a syllabus PDF from Files, Mail or Drive straight into Stu.Do to import it.
0.2.3
September 16, 2026
- Signing in no longer asks you to choose between your device and your account, and it no longer deletes data from either one.
- Your class schedule, courses and tasks now sync one change at a time, so a task you edit offline reaches your account the next time you are online.
- Deleting a task, class or semester on one device now removes it on your other devices too.
- Signing out keeps your data on the device, and signing back in picks it up where you left it.
- Tasks from other semesters no longer disappear when you mark something done.
0.2.2
September 12, 2026
- The course button in the task edit screen could overlap the title when a long title wrapped onto a second line. The title is now measured, so the button moves below it.
- Message content was only checked on the device before sending, so the check could be skipped. Messages are now checked on the server before they are saved.
0.2.1
August 29, 2026

- Fixed the keyboard not returning after closing the date or course picker.
- Cleaned up the task form layout.
0.2.0

- Stu.Do 0.2.0 is a complete rebuild of the app.

- Complete tasks from your Home Screen. The Due Tasks widget checkboxes now work without opening the app.
- Swipe in from the left edge to open the course menu. Pick a course to see all of its work in one place.
- Scroll the day strip in Course Schedule to switch days.
